Teletherapy throughout Michigan
What is Teletherapy?
Adaptive Counseling serves all of Michigan with convenient teletherapy services. Teletherapy, also known as tele-behavioral health, telehealth, e-counseling, online therapy, or tele-mentalhealth, is the same therapy that you would experience in our office but it is delivered using a HIPAA compliant, secure audio and video format (think FaceTime or Zoom but secure). This allows you to receive the same high quality of care remotely, from anywhere where you have a reliable internet connection, including in the comfort and of your own home.
Benefits of Teletherapy
The two biggest benefits of tele-therapy are access and convenience. Teletherapy improves access for people that live in rural or underserved areas of the country. It is more convenient to have access to your therapist wherever you have a reliable internet connection and a smartphone, tablet, or computer with a webcam. This saves your from having to drive to an office or sit in a waiting room.
What else should I know?
Teletherapy is typically covered by insurance, usually with the same copays and deductibles as your regular plan.
